i don't really know how to describe my time in moscow.
it was such an intense four days! i will post some photos on the terra naomi facebook page sometime in the near future.
here's how the trip went:
we woke up really early on sunday morning and took cars to heathrow airport. short flight to moscow - about 3.5 hours - and we emerged in a place which felt so foreign to me. it's a strange feeling to look around and see signs and writing which is completely unreadable. i've been to other countries - italy, germany, france, mexico, holland, etc - but all of those languages use the same alphabet, so my brain could at least comprehend what i was looking at. it's an entirely different experience to see words you cannot pronounce and letters you do not know. was so cool!!
it was dark and cold and gray the entire time we were there, but still very beautiful. the architecture was amazing. seeing those famous buildings and monuments in person, standing in the middle of red square, it was an incredible experience.
i'll post some videos soon. or at least one video. we shall see...
and now - i'm about to go on vacation for almost a month.
getting ready or 2008 which promises to be an interesting one. lots going on but nothing i can talk about yet. hopefully a whole lot of touring and writing and playing and filming and all that stuff i love to do.
i'll write more from the road.
